Forced to Confess

⁣His wife a vegetarian, he assured doctors that he was addressing his underlying health issues through nutrition.
⁣He ate the food she prepared.
They went to vegetarian and vegan restaurants.

⁣And yet, when he was suddenly hospitalized after a week of digestive pains, the gig was up.

⁣Blood glucose well over 300.
A1C of nearly 13.
(type 2 diabetes out of control)

⁣He was forced to confess.
Every evening, after his son’s ball practice (and sometimes during practice too), he would go to the convenience store…

⁣And inhale multiple hot dogs,
packaged snack cakes,
mega-packs of his favorite Reese’s cups,
and ice cream
all
before
going home
and eating that healthy dinner.

⁣He didn’t wind up in the hospital because he wasn’t sticking to a vegetarian diet,
but rather because his secretive eating habits were just that
HABITS.

⁣Here’s the thing.
When you are closet-eating
(or car-eating)
it’s often because of the shame.
You said that you weren’t going to do it again.
You said that you were going to be healthy.
And yet, here you are.

⁣It’s ππŽπ“ because you lack
motivation
determination
or even strategy.

⁣It’s because you aren’t dealing with the root issues that are making you run to those foods and eat in secret.

⁣This is exactly where coaching comes in.

⁣To address the root causes…
the environmental issues that are altering your hormones
the stress issues that are causing cravings
the nutrition issues that have your body crying out for certain foods
the mindset issues that make you think you aren’t worth the time, money, or effort to prioritize your health.

⁣As I tell my clients,
when you are struggling,
I want you to run π“πŽ me,
not π…π‘πŽπŒ me.

⁣I’m here for you.
Are you ready to be there for yourself?
